After you’ve taken care of your loved ones, you may wish to leave a gift in your Will to The Hospital Research Foundation Group, or the charity within our Group you feel most connected to. A gift of as little as 1% of your estate can make a big difference to lifesaving medical research and patient care in hospitals.
Your Gift will be used in your way of choosing:
Nominate a specific area of research that is important to you and your family
Sponsor a specific piece of equipment, research fellowship or student scholarship
Support patient care services at a particular hospital that is close to your heart
When you leave a Gift in Your Will to our charity you join The Basil Hetzel Society – our legacy society established to celebrate and recognise these special donors. Our Society is named after the honourable Dr Basil Hetzel, one of Australia’s most distinguished medical scientists.
As a member of the Society, you have the opportunity to attend special functions and events which recognise your support, meet researchers and learn about how your gift will have an impact for the health and wellbeing for your loved ones now and in the future.
You can leave a percentage of your estate to the disease area of your choice through your Will. The final amount of the gift will depend on the total value of your estate.
Another option is to leave a residual gift in your Will, which means donating a percentage of what is left after your loved ones and any other beneficiaries have received their gifts. This way, you can ensure that your legacy will benefit a cause that is important to you.
If you prefer, you can specify a fixed amount of money to donate to a charity in your Will. This guarantees that we will receive the exact amount you wish to give.
Aside from cash, you can also leave a gift in the form of assets, such as stocks, real estate, or personal property. This can provide tax benefits for your estate while also supporting a cause you care about.
