Before the Christmas break our team visited Laurel Hospice, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s (TQEH) and Modbury palliative care units to show our sppreciation and spread our warm wishes for the holiday season.
We acknowledge that the holidays can be difficult for many, especially those in
hospital and palliative care.
Our team held a morning tea at Laurel Hospice for staff and families to enjoy;
they also had a Christmas market table where people could purchase items by
donating to Laurel hospital through THRFG – Palliative Care.
We also held an afternoon tea at TQEH’s palliative care unit to show our thanks
and appreciation for the staff who work tirelessly throughout the year to bring
comfort and care to many patients and their families.
Jessica Hill from THRFG – Palliative Care said: “Organising these small events
was a little gesture to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our palliative care teams.”
“It’s a chance to provide a moment of respite and express our thanks for everything they do, especially during the busy holiday season where their work doesn’t stop. Their dedication is unwavering and inspiring to us.”
